This keynote address given in Madison Wisconsin at the National Biodynamic Conference began with an explanation of how numinous experience of the transcendent dimension of nature is transformed into an experience of the sacredness of nature through understanding. The idea was enlarged into a description of the difference between the ancient hunter religion and the planter religion recognized by anthropologists.
The planter idea of the corn hero was then applied to the current task of healing the planet through an insight into the rhythms of the planets. This was then formed into a meditative exercise that can be performed in the evening by those who wish to enter more deeply into the task of healing the earth through the pursuit of sacred agriculture.
