Video – Creating Safe Space with a Walled Garden
By Dennis Klocek 1 min read
Creating safe, sacred spaces in your garden connects you to the long history of the walled garden.
Using Leonardo Da Vinci’s Virgin of the Rocks as inspiration, Dennis takes us on a tour of the small sculpture gardens throughout his garden that support his plants and the elemental forces in creating the most healing food and medicines.

The Moral Roots of the Climate Crisis
In his widely acclaimed movie, An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore concludes that the climate crisis is in reality a moral crisis. This series of articles seeks to support that idea and aims to search through three questions about the ways in which morality, traditionally a soul or spiritual value, could possibly interface with the science…
A Periphery / Center Exercise
This exercise can help to develop a sense of the continuity of consciousness across the threshold to the next world. It begins with the inner imagination that we are in our bodies looking out at a starry sky. We imagine that our soul is expanding outwards towards the stars. It is expanding in a circle.…
Thank you for sharing. This is profoundly inspiring. Manas in every way.
Very inspiring! Simple, profound and beautiful.
Thank you very much for sharing.
Blessings!
Aahhh. Awesome! I am inspired to do the same in my garden with my own touches of course. Thank you.
To Dennis, I have just inadvertently come upon this film of creating sacred spaces in your garden! I am so moved by the whole film and as usual your work! I have been thinking a creating a singe safe space for myself within my garden here in Kent Uk. I have tons( not quite) of flint as the soil here consists of chalk and flint and over the last 30 years I have dug up a lot! Also have many crystals over the years and have been wondering about how to do it on my own and wishing to protect the elementals etc. so amazing to come upon this today! Then you mentioned Jumping Mouse! I have a copy of the story for children and am about to send it off to my son, Andrew Beedy for his daughter, Frankie’s birthday! The strongest memory I have (I do have many) of last week of Consciousness Studues in 2001 was your telling the story over 4 days! Such a powerful experience! Thank you for everything! On another tact, After that year, I was privledged to take the Art Therapy training at Tobias School of Art here in UK! One of the exercises we did and I had a deal of difficulty with was working with the four ethers. So I am trying again to recent the exercise but I have no one to discuss it with and even a couple of friends who have seen it had no comment, literally. I am stuck at the moment with darkness and warmth. I know I need to find an energy source (fire) and continue to look for air/light, water/tone and earth/form or structure. Any ideas for ethers, welcome and finally I send love and gratitude for helping to deepen and structure my life! Susie Beedy
Hi Susan,
I too remember Dennis telling us the story of Jumping Mouse in 2001. I also remember your classmates all showing up to wish you a fond farewell as you prepared to fly back to the Uk. You were more loved than I think you realized.
It is lovely to see you here and I would like to echo your appreciation of Dennis sharing his walled garden with us.
