Christ in the Clouds: A meditation on form, balance, and the etheric Christ

By Dennis Klocek | April 22, 2025

The formation of clouds is an interesting meditation on what an alchemist would call the lawfulness of the becoming of form, or what Goethe called the Archetype. In the ancient world, it was understood that forms in nature were images of the activity of world-creating beings: Gods and Goddesses and members of celestial hierarchies. The…

Christ in the Etheric

By Dennis Klocek | April 22, 2025

What does the phrase “Christ in the etheric” mean? “Behold, he cometh with clouds.” (Rev.1:7) Several enigmatic references to Christ returning again to the earth in the clouds are the centerpiece of much theological debate. Some think that the “clouds of heaven” point to the Rapture by which the faithful will be transported away from…

Article treasure trove from older Biodynamic Journal

By Ben Klocek | January 23, 2025

A month or so ago, Dennis shared something special with me – an old three-ring binder containing articles from Biodynamics Journal from the 70s and 80s, when he was first learning about biodynamics. We had been discussing how Biodynamic research seems to have shifted with the focus on profit. Dennis reflected that the research he…

Biodynamics: Between abstraction and mysticism

By Dennis Klocek | January 22, 2025

[Don’t miss our Evolution of Biodynamics Symposium on Jan 24-26, 2025 for more like this.] In his late twenties Rudolf Steiner was engaged in editing the science writings of Goethe. Steiner discovered a fundamental thought of Goethe that would later inform his work in natural science on one hand and spiritual science on the other.…

In this video, Dennis shares his techniques for growing fava beans to produce shoots, flowers and beans, and to fix nitrogen in the soil. He explains the process of utilizing decomposed leaf water, rich in fulvic acid, to create an inoculant with nitrogen-fixing bacteria and how the inoculated fava beans develop robust rhizobia colonies, boosting…

Workshop on Fairy Tales

, , ,

The workshop started with a puppet show of the “Queen Bee” Fairy Tale. After that, the lecture begins. This is the way that the deepest mysteries of the mystery schools were taught. The idea of the puppet is that as we make puppets move, so God makes us move.  But what is the purpose of…

Fairy Tales for Kindergarten Teachers

, , , ,

To continue our discussion of fairy tales, today we’ll work with the theme of the gemut as a kind of central motif in the problem of initiation.  This theme centers on the relationship between day-waking consciousness and dreaming consciousness.  There is a threshold between these two states of consciousness that is permeable and fluctuating, but…

Lung, Liver, and Dew

, , ,

Learn about the alchemical concept of “dew” and how that may be understood as the becoming of our organs of perception.

Biodynamic Alchemy and Spagyrics

, ,

This workshop will focus on the alchemical principle of spagyric substance that is at the core of Biodynamic preparation methods. The term spagyric was coined by the great alchemist Paracelsus to describe procedures for taking apart a substance at one level of existence and reinvesting it into itself it at a higher, more energetic, level of existence.

The resulting spagyric substance transcends its natural order energetically. Seen in this way, putting cow manure in a cow horn is alchemically spagyric.
