Colours of the Soul: The Sunrise Within

Hi friends,
We’re taking another look at color this month, cause it’s been blowing my mind :D
As I mentioned in the last email, the next Soul Course class is on Soul and Color and to prepare, I’ve been digging into Dennis’ work on color.
Some of you may know that he did his Masters thesis on Goethe’s color theory (more on Goethe next month). What sets Goethe’s theory apart is that it’s based on the subjective perception of color and darkness is an active ingredient. He also explored the effects of color on mood and emotion.
With his artist’s eye, Dennis has taken this to a whole other level and brought color work into his consciousness classes for many years, developing a system of soul colors to help us understand soul to soul dynamics and healing with color. (See his book Colors of the Soul or the article I posted last month Colors of the Soul: An Overiew, for more on that.)
What’s been blowing my mind is how the colors in the natural world and what they indicate, say, the turning colors of leaves and the retreating of life as they return to inanimate substance, impacts my inner mood and emotions. As I increasingly learn to read the colors of nature, my own soul mood and that of others becomes more accessible to me and I’m a much more compassionate person.

I’ve included links below to to a new article I prepared (Colors of the Sunrise: Light, Darkness and the Atmospheric Dance of the Soul) as well as other color related things we have available, in case you’re fascinated by the stories that color can tell and how it can make your soul soar!
The sunrise article is really powerful if you take the time to imagine the colors while reading it, then go out and watch a sunrise. If you can’t see the sun this time of year, take a look at this video. It holds many of the details he describes.
Also, keep an eye out for the surprise ending, it’s a powerful reminder of our own responsibility in the shifting dynamics of today.
Warmly,
Ben Klocek
P.S. I added a “time-to-read” estimate on the articles on the website, since they have been pretty long recently. I hope it helps your study to have a sense of how long it might take to read. I acknowledge that “reading” and “understanding” are two different activities, so take it for what it’s worth to you :D

Human neurological patterns represent a cascading hierarchy of organ responses to sensory stimuli that come from the environment. Sensory inputs through the sense organs impact the nervous system directly. The direct nerve pulses then cause secretions of hormones into the blood as secondary responses to light, sound, smell and movement. In the brain the pituitary…
Glyphs of the Zodiac
Editor’s Note: Dennis uses a sidereal ephemeris to determine the dates for each constellation in which the sun is active. The sidereal ephemeris takes into consideration the precession of the equinoxes in determining the the location of the stars and planets as they are today. The constellations of the zodiac are traditionally rendered in pictographs…
